With so many opportunities to connect these days, we can't help but wonder, "Why are people still bored and lonely? And in fact, why are we the loneliest generation yet?" We believe it stems from the ad-based social networking model described in the movie, "The Social Dilemma" which shows us how social media giants have designed their technology with addiction as the goal, which naturally leads to loneliness and self-esteem issues. With that in mind, we set out to create a non-ad-based SAAS platform which wouldn't require endless scrolling to survive. Our business only succeeds if our users are having the time of their lives, and feel naturally incentivized to host more parties and invite more people to get out of their shell, or home, or whatever it is that's keeping them from feeling connected, and start facilitating authentic, face-to-face interactions that are actually more efficient and valuable than trying to meet anyone online.

Match.com's Chief Science Advisor, Helen Fisher, explained in her TED talk that there is so much that happens in our brains in a face-to-face interaction that can't be duplicated in online dating apps. She also relegated dating apps to not really dating apps, but rather introductory services. We decided Bash could be the next step in courtship if a couple does meet online. Not sure what to do once you match? Suggest going to or throwing a bash! Your date will be so impressed.
